Driven by a life long love of the outdoors, and influenced by growing up in the South, Duncan McKinnon has been photographing stunning images for over 30 years. With his gifted photographers eye, Duncan transforms even the most simple everyday objects and landscapes into breathtaking images. His artistic vision extends to his portraits, capturing the very essence of his subjects.

Duncan Mckinnon is an award winning photographer who has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers, as well as other commercial venues, and his prints are found in private collections around the country.

“My passion has always been to capture the joy of a moment in time and thus produce an image that will inspire others to open their eyes to the world and what’s around them, and to develop an appreciation and love not only for the large landscape, but also for the small things in life.”

Duncan has captured many dramatic landscapes on his travels, but he is also drawn to the everyday: a lone set of headlights in a foggy morning on a country road, a mare and her foal frolicking on dewy green grass, an abandoned theater in a small town, clothes on the line billowing in the wind on a summer morning and a mountain stream reflecting an autumn moonrise.

I hope my images inspire others as I have been inspired by so many.
